This week Adam Shayanfekr, the executive director of Seraphim Equities, was interviewed by Heather Bell, the president & CEO of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, for their meet the members series. With more than 1,800 members, the Orange County Chamber of Commerce is among the 10 largest chambers of commerce in New York State. When asked what brought him to Newburgh, Adam described, “We turned on Broadway, drove up and we just immediately fell in love with it, the architectural elements, the different components of all the buildings, the old brick the cornices the windows… everything we saw that day just drew us in.” He also mentioned his plans for Newburgh and how he wants to revive its aged buildings by restoring them to the architectural gems they once were, while adding exciting pops of color like the royal blue exterior you see on 36 Liberty Street. With all of these projects in development, we are excited to see them come to life in the near future— stay tuned!
Working as hard as we have in Newburgh, we wanted to dedicate a series of posts to some of our favorite spots in the area. These are businesses that not only kick butt, but are as dedicated to revitalizing Newburgh as we are. Today we honor Hudson Taco. If not for your fish tacos, fresh homemade guac, and friendly staff, our already grumpy managers would be intolerable. Thank you for the great food, the ambiance, and everything in between :-)
We have lots of meetings at Seraphim. It takes work to make truly impactful change, and we do our best work when we collaborate. So today we’re pulling back the curtain to give you a peek at how the magic happens. You know how they say ‘never look into how hot dogs are made’? Well— our hot dogs are homemade, gourmet quality and come from free-range farms (or at least that’s what they’d say if we made hot dogs). As one of the most ambitious Real Estate Investment firms in New York, our team takes a lot of pride in our work. That means everything we do has to have that extra level of polish, making sure there are no cracks in the foundation, outfitting homes with the right hardwood floors, getting the roofing just right, and finally, getting the right local support by giving back to community with jobs and opportunities. Our goal isn’t to just fix-and-flip homes, that’s too easy. We aim to transform neighborhoods for the better.
